Our UV cured products are the best choice when you want beautiful wood flooring combined with minimum maintenance. They are easy to clean, they’re scratch resistant and need no refinishing.
The surface is based on fusing a thin sheet of real hardwood with a wood fiber core through a powder mix layer. The powder mix perfectly fills up the natural openings of the wood and enhances the wood appearance. Moreover, it eliminates the need for putty fillers. Like a lump of coal is transformed into a diamond, the wood layer is hardened by high pressure and temperature. The result is a hardened wood surface that is 3-5x stronger than traditional wood flooring.
Through innovation we’ve found a way to save natural resources and at the same time harden the wood surface. This is a more sustainable alternative to conventional hardwood flooring. The technology used for the Waterproof Hardwood products maximizes the floor surface from every log. By using thin slices of hardwood 10 times more flooring can be produced from the same amount of lumber compared to traditional engineered wood flooring and 30 times more flooring compared to solid wood flooring. This means 10 times and 30 times fewer trees are being cut down compared to traditional engineered and solid hardwood flooring.
Raw material is sourced from responsibly managed forests where the wood is processed locally. This sustainable way of harvesting and producing means the forest will still be there to enjoy for generations to come.
